Even during his early days at Welingkar, Dr. Uday Salunkhe’s dedication to the cause was un-mistakable. His drive and determination to provide quality education did not go un-noticed, not only at Welingkar but also among the education community. Dr. Uday Salunkhe was awarded the ‘Best Teacher of Management’ for the year 1996-1997 by the Bombay Management Association, India's most premier Management Association, established in 1954. Then, again in the year 1997-1998 ‘The Best Teacher of Management’ was awarded to Dr. Uday Salunkhe by the ‘Indian Express Group’ cementing his status as one of the best in the business.
Dr. Uday Salunkhe won ‘The Young Achievers Award’ in the field of Academics by the Indo- American Society which is a forum for intellectual and cultural exchange and for the promotion of friendship between people of India and America. He was also the recipient of the ‘Distinguished Leadership Award’ by the American Biographical Institute. Dr. Uday Salunkhe was selected for inclusion in the International Directory of Distinguished leaders and he was the winner of the ‘Vocational Excellence Award’ by Rotary International - District 3140 for Innovations in Management Education. Dr. Uday Salunkhe’s contribution to management education has always been something to look at and he has done a world of good to help Welingkar benefit from the vast pool of experience and wealth of knowledge that he possesses.
